Olay Total Effects Moisturiser + Serum Duo

Well isn't that a mouthful and a half! The Olay Total Effects Moisturiser + Serum Duo (€23.74) is a brand new products from the Olay Total Effects range. Now I have never actually tried any Olay products before. Not that I had any problems with them but it was just, surprisingly, a range I had never gotten around to.  So when I was sent this lovely new product, I was curious to see how I would get on.

The Total Effects Moisturiser + Serum Duo is the most concentrated formula that Olay have released to date combining the wonders of serum into your everyday moisturiser. Now serums are only relatively new to me and I have found they have been working wonders on my skin. The formula of the Total Effects Moisturiser + Serum Duo was developed to help fight the 7 signs of aging, including fine lines and wrinkles, skin firmness, tone and texture, to name but a few. Now I can’t say I have noticed a drastic improvement in my fine lines and wrinkles but I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin texture and firmness. I found my skin has been a little bit more tightened, brightened and just generally most moisturised.

The Total Effects Moisturiser + Serum Duo has an SPF 20, which is very important in protection your skin. Sun damage to your skin is one of the number one causes of premature aging of the skin, not to mention skin cancer. An SPF should be worn every day, regardless of the weather as it’s not just directly sunlight that causes the damage. I usually get my SPF in my moisturiser so I was happy to see a high SPF in this one. The cream itself is very rich and thick; just one pump is loads for the whole face. However, once applied to clean and dry skin it doesn't take that long for the skin to soak it up. I found my skin has loved this product. It works as a brilliant base for my foundation. So much so I have found myself skipping my primer, which is something!

So overall I think Olay are onto a winner with this one. I really noticed an improvement in my skin and I just really liked it. Now I am just thinking what other Olay products have I been missing out on! If you have any recommendations, let me know in the comments below.

Bye for now,

Mars

  3. I keep meaning to pick up a serum, but I'm afraid it'd be too rich for my skin so a duo might be perfect! x
