Happy New Year! So
start off I just want to apologise for the lack of posts lately. The
combination of lots of work and travelling home to the land of no internet for
Christmas and New Year’s didn’t leave me much time or opportunity to blog. But
now I’m back home in Cork and back to normal, so I can get back to regular
blogging. Let me know if there’s any post in particular you’d like to see such
as reviews or makeup looks.
Now that I have the explanation of my absence out of the
way, let’s get onto my first review and post of the year, from a brilliant
Irish company. Pixy is a great company, from Cork, that create beautiful and
natural body and skincare products. I have raved about them before when I took
a look at their bath bombs but this time it’s a skincare product which I was
sent for review.
The Rose Cleansing Mud comes in a little tin and is made up
of some beautiful natural products. It contains two clays from Morocco including Red Clay, a great natural exfoliant, especially good for oily skin and
Rhassoul Clay, clay that contains loads of nutrients and helps to remove all
the bad stuff out of your skin. And
exfoliate does it! Basically what you do is take a teaspoon amount of the clay,
mix with water to make a paste and massage it onto your face. Then simply
rinse. But once you rinse you will definitely notice the difference to your
skin. I found this removed all my dead skin, leaving it lovely and smooth and
left just a lovely glow or radiance to the skin. I really noticed the
difference to my skin after using it.
Now, onto the only bad part of this product. The smell. The
Rose Cleansing Mud contains Witch Hazel, Kelp, Buttermilk and Vanilla that all
help in detoxifying the skin. It also contains rose petals and rose water to
leave a subtle hint of rose. However I dislike the smell of both Witch Hazel
and rose water. Pixy believe in all natural products, so understandably didn’t want
to add any artificial fragrances, which is great for your skin. Now as always
with all scents, this is just a personal preference, you might love the smell
of it.
So while I don’t like the scent of the product, I’m not
going to stop using it, because I think is an amazing product that could do
wonders for your skin. The natural glow it seems to leave on my skin is enough
of an excuse to keep using it for sure. Rose Cleansing Mud is €9.50 and can be
found in selected chemists nationwide or on Pixy’s website here.
So that’s it for my very first post of the year. Have you
tried Pixy yet??
Bye for now,
Mars
It's a lovely product but I'm with you on the scent. I can't handle it at all, which is weird because I normally love all the pixy scents. Great review Hun :) x

DeleteThis sounds fantastic but I'm another one who can't bear the smell of Rose - I can use just about any product but if it smells like Rose or Lavender, I don't want it near me! Sounds like it works really well though.
