A few months back I was lucky enough to win a mini bottle of
the cult cleanser, Bioderma Sensibo H20 Micelle Solution, in a competition from
the lovely ladies over at Emerald Eyeliner. I used up that mini bottle so
quickly, that when my lovely sister-in-law, Michelle, was going to Belgium for
work I asked her to pick me up a bottle if she could. How excited was I when I went home this
Christmas and Michelle presented me with a huge 500ml bottle of it!
If you have not heard about Bioderma Sensibo (or Bioderma
Crealine as it used to be known), well then I’ll tell you about it now. This
cleanser from French brand Bioderma has earned its legendary status in the
beauty industry and is used by famous makeup artists and supermodels alike. It
is an ultra-mild water based cleansing solution that is excellent at removing
all traces of makeup; even the most waterproof of mascaras. It is alcohol. Soap
and fragrance free and is formulated for all skin types, including sensitive
skin. The reason this cleanser is perfect for catwalks and makeup artists is
you can remove makeup again and again and it won’t cause any sensitivity
issues. For example, when my best friend Grace was modelling the Maxfactor 2000Calorie Mascara Collection for me, she had to remove mascara no less than 4
times, in the space of an hour. She used Bioderma Sensibo as her cleanser and
found her eyes weren't raw or sore or sensitive as expected. I have used this
many times to remove waterproof eyeliner, such as Avon Supershock, from my
waterline and not only did it removed it brilliantly, I wasn't left with any
problems such as sore or red eyes or a film of cleanser across my eyes.
So now that you know how much I love it, let’s get onto the
only issue I have with Bioderma Sensibo. It’s not available to buy in Ireland,
at all. You can pick it up in many European countries with France been the
cheapest, often with deals like €20 for two 500ml bottles, in many pharmacies.
Michelle got this one 500ml bottle in Belgium for €20 on its own. If you aren't heading off to France anytime soon though, you can order from Le Guide Sante online,
but be wary of the huge shipping costs. If you are going to France soon though,
I do recommend you stock up because it is a brilliant product.
Have you tried Bioderma Sensibo? What did you think of it?
Bye for now,
Mars
I really liked this product, I don't like though that its so unavailable in the UK which is a pain! Boots do a good cleansing water alternative though if you run out of this :-)

ReplyDeleteI have Bioderma, and I like it & it works really well, but I still kind of wonder what all the fuss is about...I know that makes no sense! Maybe I haven't dabbled enough in cleansers to really appreciate the difference?! Who knows! I shall keep using it in any event! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah I think I just like it because most makeup removers leave my eyes feeling red raw and this was the first not to! I know some people are only a bit meh about it but I quite like it! :)
